Odonata of Rhode Island: the dragonflies and damselflies of Arcadia State Park

While I abolutely adore the beauty of Dragonflies and Damselflies, it is not an area of expertise for me. A local Odonata specialist provide guidance in identify the species in ths gallery as it is very difficult to 100% identify Odonata by photograph alone: Libellula semifasciata, Libellula luctuosa, Libellula incesta, Calopteryx maculata, Libellula cyanea, Enallagma geminatum,Anax junius, Lestes sp (most likely vigilax), Sympetrum sp. (most likely vicinum), Enallagma aspersum, Libellula sp. (probably quadrimaculata), and Enallagma signatum. I hope you enjoy these Dragonfly photos and Damselfly photos.
